Be Good Properties

The MATRIS Pillars

Six commitments, shared with our sister organization Be Good House, that shape how we acquire, operate, and steward every property.

M

Monies

“Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce.” (Proverbs 3:9)

Capital deployed into property is a tool for Kingdom impact: invested, not buried or hoarded. Every dollar we put into acquisition, renovation, or operation is a seed sown for a harvest beyond the balance sheet.

A

Abilities

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” (Colossians 3:23)

The God-given abilities to find, evaluate, restore, and operate real estate are honed and improved to glorify Him. Diligent property work is, itself, an act of worship.

T

Time

“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” (Psalm 90:12)

Patient, intentional acquisition and renovation cycles structure our time with discipline. We move quickly when called and slowly when wisdom demands, never rushed by greed, never paralyzed by fear.

R

Resources

“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.” (Luke 16:10)

Every property, dollar, and tool entrusted to us is a seed to plant wisely. Faithfulness in small things is the prerequisite for greater stewardship.

I

Influence

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)

Properties are lampstands: visible bases that shape neighborhoods, employ people, and demonstrate upright character. We use influence to keep ourselves and those around us on the straight and narrow.

S

Skills

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” (Matthew 25:21)

Things we can learn are sharpened through repetition and humility, in service of the mission entrusted to us.

Frequently Asked

Questions we hear most.

What kinds of properties does Be Good Properties acquire? +

We acquire three property types: commercial spaces (storefronts, offices, mixed-use buildings), residential homes for entrepreneurs and their families, and rental properties that produce income reinvested into the mission. Every acquisition is evaluated against our MATRIS pillars, not just financial return.

How is Be Good Properties different from a typical real estate investor? +

Most investors measure success in cap rate and exit multiples. We measure it in Kingdom impact, whether each property serves the entrepreneurs, families, and missions it houses. We hold properties in trust rather than as assets to flip, partner closely with Be Good House to staff and steward them, and reinvest returns back into the mission.

Can I partner with or invest in Be Good Properties? +

Yes. We work with mission-aligned partners in several capacities, including capital partners, referral relationships, sellers looking for a values-driven buyer, and operators seeking a base of operations. The best next step is to reach out through our contact form and tell us what you have in mind.
